In 2010, Michele founded M3 Beauty. “M” stands for her first name. The number three represents time; past, present, and future. M3 Beauty has been on a journey and has much more to embark upon in the future.
M3 Beauty services include in on-location makeup application, airbrush makeup, makeup lessons, and hair services. These services are offered for Bridal, Film & Television, Corporate Events, Headshots, Print & Fashion, and Character & Special Effects.
About Michele Hundley
Michele’s always had an affinity for colors and enjoys painting. She started a path in pursuit of becoming a dancer. While studying theatrical makeup as an elective, it changed her life’s trajectory. Her talent came naturally, , and she fell in love with makeup. She moved from Virginia, to attend Joe Blasco Makeup Artistry Training Center in Orlando. She graduated in 2006 and has been doing makeup ever since.
Hundley’s favorite makeup service is for corporate events. She’s had the opportunity to work with celebrities including Tina Fey and Paula Abdul to name few. Hundley credits networking to helping her get her name out there coupled with an excellent website. Showing passion and being a people person has shaped her reputation within the beauty industry.
Amongst being a professional makeup artist, Michele is a cancer survivor. In 2014, she was diagnosed with leukemia. Thanks to a double cord blood transfusion, she has been cancer-free for five years!
When Michele isn’t making someone look fabulous, she likes to stay active. She enjoys yoga, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, being in nature. She finds the ocean very calming and enjoys spending time with her 15-year-old cat, Lucy.
Future Plans and Advice for Beauty Professionals
Hundley’s future is looking bright. She plans to expand her brand, take on more corporate events, launch her makeup line, and create a non-profit to help support other cancer survivors.
Michele advises other beauty professionals not solely to rely on social media. “Get off Instagram and do the work. Networking is a huge way to get your name out there. Understand that building a successful business does not come overnight. It takes hard work and perseverance to get where you want to be”. She encourages aspiring beauty professionals to get their license and determine the route they want to take, stay focused on it, and keep current with the trends.
Michele is enjoying her studio space in iStudio Salons Maitland. She’s able to come in and just focus on her company. Michele no longer worries about storefront expenses, music, or restrooms. She appreciates iStudio Salons taking care of everything else.
